They are saying they can collect unemployment. But that's even a joke . They won't give much . I'm sure it's just not worth it. That's sad I'm sorry about your family I'll be lrating for ya and them hope all goes well
Thanks.
Most of them work at a small locally owned chain of Welsh Pubs. Today is St. Patrick's day. It is their busiest day of the year. But they closed all stores for business yesterday at 6:00 PM. So their biggest day for sales and tips is gone.

I’m vacationing in Ruidoso now, and I guess they restocked Walmart today, because people were walking out with baskets full of toilet paper. You’d think with such a smaller town that there would still be some, but nope. I’m just trying to enjoy my break here but there’s panic even in the middle of nowhere.
As low as our population is around here, people are still in panic mode.

Where are you staying? I am north of Ruidoso a bit.

Yeah, I would think people in most sparsely populated areas shouldn't have a lot of worries. They are already socially distanced.
MO only has 7 cases so far but virtually no one has been tested yet. The cases are climbing dramatically in IL.

There are so many ranchers, cowboy types, people that are self sufficient living around here, you would think that they would be a bit more level headed and less apt to panic in this situation. Guess it goes to show some are still impervious to human nature, those basic instincts to survive. And so they hoard....

:pop I for one am sick and tired of the media whipping the public into a panic.
Regular flu is much more deadly....wash your hands and keep people at arms length.
This is not true. Regular Flu is less deadly. Older people are protected with vaccins or/and because they had a flu before.

This is a new virus. And probably will effect over 50% of the population this year or next year. About 5% of the people who get really ill get lung problems. Death rate is much higher as with a normal flu.

One thing is true. You don't have to panic.

The flu vaccine is only good if it prevents the particular strain they have selected.

Whichever you get - don't panic!
