How's my coop

How much ventilation should I have in the coop ? There is some cracks on top where the roofing comes together and the front door section has about 1/4 in gap on the top. Also the chicken access dose not have a door. Should I drill some holes ?

If you read posts here, most people recommend 1 sq ft per bird, but it also depends on your location. Placement is crucial, you don't want drafts in the birds. Lower vents will bring in fresh air and uppers will remove moist, warmer air.

My first coop was similar to yours. I had a window on the front, a large drop down vent in the rear, roof vents where the roof sat on the walls, and another large side vent.

As for the chicken door, I like a door I can shut and lock since my run isn't 100% predator proof.
