How's the Quality of My Silkies??

Not all states require testing--ChickieMama, find out what if anything is required in your state.

At 20 weeks (4.5-5 months) they should be old enough for a small, informal show. Younger than usual, though.

No guarantee on the gender--that is just what the splash looks like in your photos. Different poses on a different day and I might have a different opinion. They are really too you to say with any certainty.

If they dont require testing you birds will be at risk. I personally would not bring a bird to a show that does not insist on testing or presentation of a NPA certificate. Just a thought.

I don't think any of the shows in the west have any sort of testing. I know that New Mexico, California & Arizona have no requirements, and so do not. Can't recall which of Oregon or Washington: one has testing requirements and the other does not; shows are generally not held in the state that requires testing.

What specific testing would I need? I don't mind getting them tested. It is a very "informal" show. Its mainly for the kids. I have these 2 in a cage and get to free range during part of the day away from the rest of my birds, so if need be, I can keep them away from the others after the show. I have heard about so many horror stories about picking up diseases from these shows. One of my DD's friends was bringing one of hers to the show and mine just wanted to try.
