Hows the weather at your coop?

So my Tuesday was to say the least very exhausting. We have about 4inches of solid ice covering our holler. NOTHING is making it to my house. My birds need food. I'm half a mile (which is all uphill coming back home) up in here. So today I walked out caught a ride to TSC and pulled a wagon with my feed back in. Below is my holler. Solid ice. But my babies needed to eat! West Virginia needs to thaw! A typical 20 min walk took almost an hour.

Be careful so you don't slip an fall, and get hurt. A common suggestion of mine,, is carry your phone with you. If something bad happens,, you can call someone to help you out.

Oh I don't live in cell phone service. But there's always someone at home that knows if it takes to long to send eyes. We have bobcats and black bears as well as very brave coyotes. I also have ice cleats that slip-on over your shoes. My sister from IL sent us some last year and they are life savers

With those semi friendly pets, I would go to visit my chickens always packing some heat,,, If you know what I mean. 2nd amendment.
