True, it's on the spendy side when compared to a rubbermaid, but i've got a 4-cat-and-2-dog household

It's all about the security

I'm afraid the cats would gleefully munch any chicken nuggets that aren't in a wire enclosure...

If you're just going to brood a few baby chicks, a simplier wire cage would work just as well, they don't need the hutch in there when they are babies. A kennel might be cheaper.

wow. That kind of cage would be something I'd use when they dont need the light anymore and I move them outside.
