Hubby forgot to cut out the crop during butchering and smoked it before catching it! Is the meat ruined?

Ive left full crops in mine before never had an issue the only thing that would tant the meat is leaving the gallbladder in
 
There are a lot of things besides the gallbladder that can contaminate meat, but luckily we can negate almost all of them just by cooking the chicken to 165 degrees.

Much depends on how sensitive one's palate is though. Even if I know something is technically safe to eat, if it smells or tastes off, it's a no go for me.

And then there are some people that greatly enjoy "roadkill cuisine", different strokes for different folks. 🤷‍♀️
