Huddled Up Chickens at Night Time

Hi, My chickens are between 6-7 weeks old. They have been sleeping under a red heat lamp. But since it's hot here I turned the heat lamp off and at night time they just all cuddle up together at the end of the roost. All on top of each other as soon as the sun goes down. Then at sunrise they are all up and cheery again. Any ideas? Is this normal and/or OK? Thanks! Mary

They are moving into the coop Friday and there won't be a night light in there either so I figured they should get use to no light at night. Again, is this OK?

Mine have all done it they should be fine.
