GOOD Afternoon Hudson Valley Peeps~
Thank you. We're all relieved we found Mizz Dingbat the Easter Egger too. I still want to know how she got into that window well with all the juniper covering it but she's not talkin'.
So I cleaned out The Girls' coop today. This winter was my first time using the deep litter method. The bedding was wet and smelly on the very bottom; I should have turned it more often this winter. After I finished, I sat in the run and inspected all the chickens~nobody has frostbite or mites so the DLM worked out well, although the clean up wasn't pretty.
Just sat down with a glass of wine. I'm glad I made a pot of beef stew and started a loaf of bread in the bread oven earlier or we'd be ordering pizza or Chinese food! I'm tired and hungry.

One is pipping and 8 not doing anything ! I am happy with 6 for my first hatch.
We have some eggs in the incubator; due to hatch Saturday 4/12. It's our first attempt..we have NO IDEA what we're doing...(talk about winging it!) lol
