Today is lockdown. What should the humidity be set to?

We were aiming for 65-70% so we're not TOO far off. This morning it was 80% so I opened one of the vents but I had to leave for work and couldn't stick around to make sure it went down. DH said he'd check it. This is the part of incubating I'm nervous about. How are your chicks doing?

Vent plugs are supposed to be out to give Oxygen to the eggs. My chicks are great, I'm hoping that they are all hens! I had a lot of problems with the humidity, that's why only 5 out of 14 eggs hatched. This was my first time

LS the plug is generally suppose to be taken out on lockdown..but you can incubate with the plug open the hole time..I leave it out most of the time. as long as i can keep humidity levels steady. I have read is helps the chicks get more oxygen.. Everyone has their own ways!

My chicks arrived this morning! Yay! Not that I needed more, but I just can't have a spring without chicks. We will be selling the extras (assuming they all do ok) at the spring sussex show along with the extras from out Easter HAL chicks (assuming they hatch). Those are CCL, EE, and NN. Should be fun to see what hatches out. Anyone else getting chicks this spring?
