...I feed the tractor supply brand called Dumor. So I cant help you there...theres a place in NY...I think it maybe called Lightning Tree farms...uhh or somthing along the "Tree" lines lol they make all organic feeds!

Ha! I was right! Lightning Tree farm! Their in Millbrook..they sell 17% layer feed for $25.

I actually held off putting the eggs in the incubator for a few days so that they would hatch when the kids and I would be home.

To GMO or not to GMO now that is the question. Most of our produce whether organic or homegrown is GMO. In the 16th century carrots did not exist in the way we recognise carrots today. GMO free feed is so much more expensive and I'm not sure it is any healthier. Any thoughts?

Well ive been doing research and im trying to stay away from GMOs in my own food and so I would like to make the food from my animals non GMO as well. Its a tough topic because there is so little research on what the actual health effects are

It is a tough topic, I'm not sure where I stand. I just think it goes a lot deeper than we realize. I wish that there was more scientific research. I'm only looking at the historical context because it's easier for me to understand. I worry much more about processed foods, and just try to produce or procure my food myself.
