Don't forget, tomorrow is the South Salem event. I hope to see you all there! I just delivered my mini coup over there so we can fill it with chickens tomorrow. I hope it's not just me, Traci from My pet Chicken and the chickens. It should be a nice day.

They're orpingtons. The rooster is a blue and we have 3 buff hens and 1 black hen. I'm curious to see how they feather out !

i love orps. funny, in the picture i would have guessed you have a lavender one. Could your black ones be split to lav?

We heard chirping this morning!!! We see a piece of shell on the incubator floor, lots of rolling. One egg has not really moved, but it was viable when I candles. I also brought home the classroom chicks. Oh my

Same eggs I have in the home bator, I just put mine in a few days later. From what I see they are all random mutts lol.

I love orps too...one of my favorite breeds so far.

I wish I'd paid more attention in biology
These eggs are from 1 black orp. and 3 buffs.
The roo is a blue orp.
Would a buff x blue = lavender?
Or would a black x blue = lavender?

lavs are more related to black somehow.
