Huge almost 3 1/2 inch eggs

My 7 month old leghorn laud a huge egg it measures almost 3 1/2 inches long.
My question is why?

Everyone wants to see giant eggs, lol.

Also, it can help for comparisons if you can weigh it.

If our Leghorns laid any like that I would stick it straight in the incubator to see if I could get a giant chick

My question is why?

Because they can.

Usually large eggs have double yolks...so it's because she released 2 yolks at once.
How long has she been laying?
Not uncommon with newly laying high production type birds.

Looks like it maybe a double yolker.

This egg is way bigger than the normal. Usually I get extra LG eggs with double yokes. I'm going to crack it and see if possibly it could be a triple yoke. I've just never had an egg this large and wondered if this was normal for a leghorn?
