Huge duck problem...

So, I've had a bunch of problems with my scovies since it is my first time owning that specific breed, but this one is pretty bad. I think i either have 2 or 3 drakes, i know that might be a problem in the future, but i have a lot of acres so i didn't think much of it, these guys are only 3 months old and as big as a mallard right now, still have a lot of growing to do. Anyways, i might have to get rid of the drakes because the "boss" Marshmallow has been aggressive, he makes weird sounds at me, like the normal hissing sound but kind of like a gobble of a turkey but with the hissing..? When i went to take bella out of her coop (the boys like bossing bella around so she has her own coop) marshmallow ran at me and bit me until i put bella down. I also have a problem with me pekins, they don't share the creek, everytime the muscovies come in the creek the pekins chase them till they are in our driveway. Any help is great.

Thanks, think when they are older and bigger they could chase the pekins off? or bother to fly off to a different source of water?

I have Runner and Muscovy that live together and pay no mind to each other. Probably once they get use to each other things will be different.

Alright, hope they well, I had gotten my muscovies when they were only 5 days old and my pekins... I don't know how old they are because I just got them from my breeder since I couldn't resist them. I thought they would warm up to eachother but nope, the pekins love chasing them, they'll hide in bushes by the creek and when they go down to get a drink they chase them, the problem is the muscovies are afraid of all water sources unless im down there with them to chase the boys away, ad the worst part is they are always dirty because they cant ever get in the water and they well only go in the creek, ive ried the swamp, the pond but nope, they all hate it... idk why? kind of weird...

I can probably give the scovies an etra hour in the morning and then let the pekins out.

I kept Swedish and scovies together for awhile, didn't have too many issues, but didn't spend half my day paying close attention to the flock dynamics either. Eventually, I had to put the Swedish in their own pen, and let the scovies live with the chickens.

I absolutely would NOT tolerate an aggressive drake though, under any circumstances, no matter what caused that behavior. Muscovy is far too good eating to put up with that kind of baloney from them.

When my Muscovy drake when he became sexual would target me so I came on BYC and the info I got straightened him out. I wasn’t over night but it worked first you have to be consistent and not let him get away with attacking me. So when I could see his intent I’d take the broom or a bucket and keep him at a distance if that didn’t work I would flatten him on the ground you can straddle too but main thing you want to do with out causing him harm is keep him from getting up until he has quit fighting and once he stops let him go always facing away from you. If he comes again do it again. You want him to know your not going to take his stuff and you can hand it out. Your dominant over him. My drake is now 8 yrs old and he is a joy to have. Oh once in a while I still have to remind him but not too often.

Thanks, this morning when I let him out he ran after me when I was turned around and he tried to bite me, I held him down and he walked away, should I just do that till he gets the message?
