Huge Mystery Birds in the trees in my yard, what are they....

I thought turkey didn't know they could fly that well.

Turkeys are excellent fliers! People just associate them with what goes on our dinnerplate, which are often birds too fat and fast growing to fly.

Wild turkeys roost in tall trees at night and forage on the ground during the day. They don't fly far distances, just enough to get down and out of a tree. Our hunting season for turkeys starts this weekend.

Seen while trail riding many years ago, and they DO fly HIGH in the trees. Lovely animals and good dinner fowl!

it looks like a turkey to me also i live in kentucky and i see alot of turkeys weekly. another thing wild turkeys can fly pretty good

Looks like the sames ones that came and had dinner with my girls day before yesterday.



Wish I had a hunting license. I would have liked to put one of these toms in my freezer. There were about 15 turkeys altogether, three toms and the rest hens.
