Huge storm and brooder box got soaked

We're out of town right now and my brother is watching the chicks. Apparently there was a huge storm that blew through and soaked our cardboard box. He's just leaving them in there but I am terrified of them getting sick. My mom would NEVER let them inside the house so that's an option if nothing else is available. What is something that he could quickly throw together. My brother knows the basics of chickens he used to have some but he's a redneck. Thanks!

Another box? I have used watermelon boxes that I have gotten from the grocery store. I go in and ask if they have any empty ones and usually they do.

He could probably get another box. My grandparents own a carpet mill and he works there. I'll ask him.
