humane socity note....

Today I get a wierd note in my mailbox from the humane society, it had boxes checked that said they came for conditions/care complaint( how on earth could anyone see my animals as the reside inside!),overdue dog licence and other. When I called I couldn't get the visiting officer but I got a person who looked at the computer and there were no complaint on my house listed. Either the humain society made a mistake and though we were the nieghbours or this is a new complaint, as in the guy next door just complained about us when they went to check up on the puppy mill( 13 dogs!). The paper didn't look brand new and had a crease in it, I wonder if the nieghbors decided to play a trick on me by putting thier paper in the mailbox! My pets are well fed( we have huge bags of food for each animal), have clean cages and are housed properly, they are all healthy, actually we have never had any illness needing a vets attention and we have had years of pets( 10 years while on my own) we do need to get our dog licenced , we have been lazy because we would need to go to the vet to get a paper to prove she's fixed, that and she never ever leaves the back yard, she gets attacke by the dogs in the park who are never leashed,she's a tiny 6lb bichon so she really doesn't need walks. This is just bothering me, first the city now this!

Since you called and they told you that no complaints were in their computer for you I'd just let the whole thing roll of your back. It sounds like some one (neighbor?) just wanted to mess with you.

The problem is I think the nieghbors had something to do with this, it's still worry some, a complaint? We have even started to take the rooster into the main part house in the morning as he crows around 8 and the other nieghbor works shift work. grr I hate this!

If roosters are allowed in your zone/city/etc then you have nothing to worry about. Just keep your coop and dog area clean in case of random inspections.

It's nice of you to try and be considerate of your neighbor's work schedule, but if they are going to be a pain no matter what then really, why bother? Some people just like to cause drama.

If your neighbor is trying to cause trouble for you, you should let the Humane Society know - it will give them a better idea of what to do if they are in fact making unfounded complaints against you.

It is ageist federal law for anyone but you an your mail man to put anything in your mail box. If it does not have a postmark it is mail fraud.

Any more issues and I might just leave my dh and move to the city actually me and dh get along great, if he wasn't disabled needing a handicap acessible home we would move to the country!
