Hi!! I rent a trailer on a 20 acre hilltop property. I have two kids (girl10) (boy4n1/2), a cat with five kittens, a ferret, and a flock of 3 Americanas, who are all turning out to be roosters, 2 silkies (black and 1white), a chinese crested, and as of a few days ago we just added a beautiful white and silver grey silkie rooster and his red silkie hen to the mix. We have already snuck some feretal eggs from my landlady's chickens underneath her. :) Back down south are the two origonal silkies i gave my mom for easter...a grey patrige and a black one. The other black one got eaten by a raccoon :( the sad event that led my for the first time to BYC for an outlet. That sad story was my first post. But I am back today a year later to introduce myself and share my beautiful birds with you all.

is your silkie hen broody right now, otherwise she will not hatch the fertile eggs. They go broody when they feel like it, you can't decide when.

Welcome to BYC

Best of luck with your broody hatch!
