Humidity and temperatures

Hello!

So I am desperately trying to hatch the remaining duck eggs I have. I live in Indiana and it’s pretty cold. I’m hatching Them in our room where it’s 64 degrees and roughly 34% humidity. I was trying dry hatching for the first week and a half. I placed the incubator in a styrofoam container. The humidity fluctuated between 12-19. The temperature fluctuates between 89-90.5. I have the still air incubator set at 37.5c.
I was told the temp needs to be around 99. I can’t get it to go any higher.
Open to all suggestions.
Please help!!

Right, but my hygrometer is reading at 90.5

In a still air incubator the temperature needs to be about 101 to 101.5 and 30% ish humidity is good.

Make sure to not use the incubator’s temperature and humidity gauge. Have a second calibrated way of checking both temp and humidity.

Use a blanket or a towel to put over some or most of the incubator. It will help hold the heat in. Just leave some of the air holes uncovered.

Good Morning,
I’m headed to Walmart to buy a second hygrometer. It’s frustrating not being able to stabilize the temperature

I have that same gauge, but only for humidity. The temperature was reading wrong. Is that calibrated or checked for accuracy?

Try putting a blanket or towel over the incubator to hold in the heat. Then test to make sure the device is reading temp properly.

No, not calibrated or checked. Going out to buy a second one. Any suggestions
