i have a new incubator 48 egg auto turning eggs temp is 37.6 which is good but the humidity stays on 65%,is that too high for new eggs to hatch? if it is how to cut down to about 55% humidity?

If no water has been added you will need to open some vent holes to let some of the moisture escape.

Here is a good thread on hatching. https://www.backyardchickens.com/a/hatching-eggs-101

I have read levels from 25% - 60% for the first 18 days, then 50 % - 80% during lockdown.

I am trying the dry method letting it run without water 25-30% range for the 18days then will add water to around 55% for lockdown. We will see how it does. Hopefully someone else will chime in . This is only my third batch, 2 last year and first for this year.. Last year I ran it on the high side, I think I had chicks that did not make it because the Humidity was too high and they died after internally piping.
