What should the humidity be during lockdown? Im on day 21. No pips, peeps, but yesterday one of the eggs rocked. The humidity is 55%. Should the humidity be higher?
Thanks for looking.

simple get a cup fill it with water.ut it in the microwave for two mins until u see steam . Make sure the cup is full under 1/4 of the bowl or cup. when it steming quickly put it in and close the top. ! There u bgo. Thats what i did durinmg lock down.

If you have or can get the stuff a great way is to take a dosage syringe filled with hot water and attach some aquarium tubing to it. You snake the tubing down to the water wells via the ventelation holes so you can add water without opening the bator. If you have to put sponges in just make sure they're close enough to the vent holes and you can "fill" them the same way. Happy hatching!

If the above isn't possible for you take the bator into a hot steamy bathroom and fill the water well as fast as you safely can. It's not ideal, but you won't lose too much temp. or humidity that way and should be fine.

I had to use wadded up paper towels in my LG. I placed 4 wadded up papper towels inside under the tiny vent holes. That way I could squirt hot water using a syringe. I also added as many small tubs as I could fit in the bottom. Refill using HOT water. The water won't raise the temp much and its great at increasing humidity! I hatched out 57 of 59 in a 6 set staggerd hatch my first time!

Good Luck and God Bless!

I was just thinking after I posted that I should have credited bigstack for the taking the bator into a hot steamy bathroom when you have to open it during lockdown...Guess I better do that now.
