Hello All, Thank you in advance for your advise.

I am using an incubator for the first time. I have been monitoring the temp and humidity for the last 3 days.

I am having trouble keeping the humidity stable.

It has fluctuated from 35 as high as 60. Im nervous this is going to make the hatch rate very unsuccessful.

Anyone else dealt with this and had a successful hatch?

Temp has been a steady 99-100.

thanks everyone.

What sort of incubator are you using can you post a pic of it? This has happened to me before and I still had chicks hatch. The positioning of the incubator can cause this if it is a draft place you could try wrapping some towels or scarf around it to keep it steady.

This is my first time too and I'm having trouble with humility also. Are you opening it? Mine will drop to 25 when I open it but goes back up within 5 minutes or so. I spent most of day 3 trying to regulate bc it would be below 45 and I would add water and all of a sudden it was almost 60 and couldn't get it down. So I kept adding and taking out water through the day until it was steady at around 48-51. Then I had to add a few tbs the next day bc it dropped to 44. I think you should try to get it stable at a good humidity and then figure out how much water you need to add once it starts to go down. I usually add about 1/3 a cup and it will go up a few degrees within 30 minutes. If it's too high I'll take some out with a kids medicine syringe. I've had it at a steady 45-51 for a few days now. What kind are you using?
