I have a brinsea eco 20. 4 chicks hatched last night with 7 to go. Humidity this morning was reading 88% (then I need to add 7 according to my calibration 25 days ago). I'm really worried the unhatched chicks will drown at this humidity but everyone says to NOT open the bator.
I did open the bator for a split second to pull some empty eggs out becuase OMG there was absolutely NO room in there between the egg carton bottoms, the chicks, the eggs they knocked out of the egg cartons etc.
I know..I know...you're not supposed to...but since my humidity was reading so dang hi, I didn't think it would be an issue. Should I open it again and let some of that humidity out??
I can see if I'm going to do many hatches with more than 10 or so eggs, I'm gonna need a separate hatcher.
