G'DAY,
I've been told that the ideal humidity levels for hatching eggs in an incubator is between 50 and 65%.
This is achievable in a controlled environment but I'm going for the natural method of letting mother hen do what she does best.
What happens if the ambient humidity here is 79% or higher most days.

Ambient humidity doesn't seem to matter a great deal when hens do their own hatching. They can hatch chicks out in the arid desert and the humid jungle.
Thanks for your time to reply.
Your information has made me feel better about hen raising my chicks

Broody hens typically do better at hatching with no help from us and using instinct than professions using incubators do. A university poultry science professor who specializes in chicken reproduction told me that. Can something possibly go wrong? Of course, anytime you deal with living animals something can possibly go wrong, but so can it if you are using an incubator. Typically broody hens do better than incubators. I'd take a broody hen over an incubator, figuring my odds were better.

Good luck and trust your broody.
