humidity problem?????????

i had 85 eggs in my 2 lg still air incubators and only 55 hatched
i opened the remaining 30 and they were all developed but they had alot of water inside the eggs
the humidity was 35 40 for the first 18 days and the last three was kept at 45 to 50 humidity what is the problem

You are correct on the first 18 days with the humidity level. I believe the humidity should bumped up to 70-75% for your last three days. Good luck.

That's EXACTLY what I do with great results....hatching it NOT an exact science...don't beat yourself up!

You could try the straw method of adding water and bump it up to 60% if you think it's worth it.
