I have a LG forced air with a turner. Iam having trouble with regulating the humidity. It will stay at 50 then go down to 42 then go to 65. I have 20 eggs it. I have the hydometer set on the turner and when it faces one way it goes down and when it faces the oppisite way it goes up. Where is the best place in the bator for the hydrometer. Level with the eggs or above them or below. I set the eggs on sunday. I have another Lg with out the turner with 15 eggs in it and that one is doing fine. What can i do. Thanks.

That's my main gripe with the LG --- there's not a good place / space to put a hygrometer.
I think the best place to read humidity (like with temperature) is at egg height.

Is your meter small enough that it will fit in the middle somehow, between the turner bars?
With the fan, the humidity should more or less be the same no matter where you take a reading, but I still like to check 'at egg height'.
I don't know why the reading would jump up to 60% just on one side unless that's the only time the sensor is over the water troughs.

Good luck, one of these days I'm going to build an incubator with SPACE.

The meter is a little bigger then a quarter. I will try laying it on the wire and see what i get or attach it to the side.

You could get a hydrometer with an external probe that you lower into the incubator, just like some of the thermometers. I've found them on ebay. They are usually digital and a little more expensive too.
