humidity question, help please

Trying to raise the humidity in our homemade bator; I have had a cup of water in there all day and temp is now steady at one needle-width below 100 and humidity is up to 29% from 13%. What number am I aiming for? I just added a second cupof water.

im keeping mine at 35-40% but its different for everyone

Ok, I am at about 37% now so will leave it overnight and see how it looks in the morning. Thanks very much.
