I have an cabinet style incubator with fan and all. Just wondering what the humidity should be for incubation time and lockdown? I have been told so many different temps from different people that I was hopping someone on here could help me out. Thanks so much.

Thanks so much that does help me a lot. I was running mine at around 70% the whole time. Sometimes I would have great hatch rates then sometimes not many. I have some more expensive eggs I was getting ready to set and was wanting to make sure I had it adjusted correctly.

So when you have a homemade incubator how do you know what your air exchange rate is? I have no idea if I have enough or too many vent holes.

If I had to guess at how many holes to put in an incubator I would say one hole in the top an one close to the bottom for every 12 eggs you plan to have in the incubator. Each hole should be the size of the hole in the middle of a CD.

Dont know how good of a guide that is but should be somewhere close.

Then by luck I think I am pretty close. Since I am in my first lockdown it is a little late this time around, but good to know for next time. And there WILL be a next time
