Humidity raising?

Hey y’all, I’m trying to hatch some chicks and I’m in the last few days, but I’m struggling to get the humidity past 50% even with putting water in the incubator what should I do?

I had the same problem and I stuck a (sterile, new in package) sponge in the incubator. Soaked and squeezed the sponge out a few times (mine smelled like plastic a little and I was trying to get rid of the smell ) and then soaked it in warm water before putting it in the incubator. It worked!

What's your hygrometer say the humidity % is? And do you have an independent hygrometer? Also, how far into incubation are your eggs, and what kind?

Need a few more details to inform an opinion.
