I'm worried about my little LG performing when I need to spike the humidity on the morning of the 22nd. Would it be OK to do a test run to see if I can get it high, and then return it to its normal 40's?

Thanks for thoughts,

Laura

It's always a good idea to do a test run. Just remember when the eggs are added it is going to change your humidity anyways. I will wait to set eggs in my bator so I can be home the first 24 hrs. to keep an eye on things.

Sorry, I should have been clearer. My eggs are in there already, day 11. I should have done a better "dry run" or in this case "wet run" before setting eggs.

If you are running at the 40% range consistently, I would just leave it alone. with a sponge or two on day 18 you should have no trouble raising it to 60% and even if you cannot get it to 60%, 40% is not that bad..
