Humidity to high?

Okay, so my temp is at about 100.5 and the humidity is at 77%. Is this to high, how can I lower it there is barley any water.
If it's during the first 17 days and that is an accurate humidity reading, then yes, definitely lower it. The chance of the eggs loosing any moisture at that level is rare, which leads to chicks drowning at hatch time. I would remove the water and dry the incubator. If you haven't tested the hygrometer for accuracy, I would most certainly do that too. You can use the salt test to test the hygrometer.

I run humidity at 30% for the first 17 days.

I would consider taking all of the water out of your system to see if the humidity changes. If it still high at that time it may be time to buy a new thermostat.
