Hey everyone!
I recently purchased a new 36 egg fully automatic incubator, it is a cheaper Chinese brand (HHD??). I have set it up and the temperature, egg turning etc seems to be working perfectly (haven't put any eggs in yet). The only problem is the humidity - it is all over the place! I placed the recommended amount of water in (per instruction manual) but the humidity was sitting between 60-70%. Obviously this is too high for the first 18 days, so I took out most of the water - it then dropped 58% ish, so I removed all the water. It is now sitting on 44%. If I add any water it jumps right up to the high 50s. I guess my question is - is it ok to leave it in the mid-40s & why is it changing so dramatically?
Thanks heaps!

its definitely ok to leave it in the mid 40s, I always incubate around that and I never have problems with too big or too small air cells. My room humidity is normally around 50 - 55 though.
