Hey guys I just put some eggs in the incubator I’ve had the problems in the past with chicks drying out my humidity is usually set around 30-40% any recommendations on what percentage it should be I have wick pads I’ve read online about how the humidity should be 55-60 but I wanted to ask people that actually have chickens and experience so any recommendations ? Also I have a GOF incubator a 1502 sportsman

hope someone else answers as I am on my first hatch. I believe I saw on here around 45-50% until lock down then (I need to double check since mine goes into lock down tomorrow) is 60-65%. sounds like you may be running yours low.

Thank you one question I’ve read a list of forums and “lock down” is frequently used what is that exactly ?

I just looked it up when is a good time for lock down I knew what it was I’ve just never heard it called that.
