What percent of humidity should an eggs be?

I'm sticking with the 50-60 range. My humidity monitor says this is just "normal." Anything less is "dry." Up to 70ish in last 3 days before hatch.

I keep mine at 50 but no higher than 55

How do you measure your humidity? a hygrometer? What kind and where can it be purchased? Local? on line? What is a good price? and lastly... how important is it?

I picked up a hygrometer at Walmart for $6.50, it was by the heaters.
