Humitidy and heat issues

I just cracked it a little because plugs are out and I still do. So much for following directions.... How do I get humidity down without removing eggs and dumping water out?
You will need to empty a couple of the tanks in the incubator. I would empty all but one of the tanks.

Don't worry about wiping things down. They will dry off on their own when the surface area with water in the tanks is smaller.

It is the surface area that creates humidity and not volume of water. It is not that critical at the beginning of hatch so you do not need to panic or rush to do this. Take your time. The eggs can stay out for over an hour and be fine. In the first couple of days the eggs will suspend and you can put them back in a week or so and they will still hatch. Don't do that after day 5 though

I am on day 18 so I can't leave them out. I saw a post here where people used rice to soak up extra moisture and took paper towls to soak up some of the water but I have to do what ever I am going to do tonight cause after tonight I can't mess with them.

The rice is used to absorb after a tank is emptied. The paper towel will make humidity go up because it increases surface area. Same with sponges.

On day 18 you can open the incubator and empty a tank or two. The most critical time to keep the lid on is when you have pips. If you do not see pips, you are safe to work on getting the incubator set.

:thumbsup

Thank you I will get that done...... And add little at a time thanks.....

I finally got it all to stabilized in the meantime I cracked an egg. I have him "bandaged" so to speak because I have seen both pos and neg after this happening. So we will see. Sigh
