Two hummingbirds built their nests in my yard at eye level this year (there was at least one more way over head).
One looked like it was her first attempt at building. She laid one egg and it didn't make it; I found the shell on the ground.
The other nest appeared to have been built by a master builder. It was a beautiful nest with two tiny eggs, that hatched into tiny birds I was able to enjoy every day until they left their sanctuary.
I thought you might like to see some of the pictures and the videos of their progress from egg to fledglings.
