About 5 days ago one of our chickens got out of the coop and she didnt have water for what we think atleast 2 hours. I check on the chickens every few hours and I see her laying in the shade under a bush panting like crazy so I take her inside to cool off and give her some icy honey water. Of course I expected her to be a bit lethargic and not move hardly ever for awhile but after 2 days when she starts walking again she doesn't walk or stand like she did before she now has a hunch back and keeps her head low. I've been trying to figure out why and have had no luck in finding anything that could cause this. The same day tho another chicken got out and sadly we lost her to our dog and now me and my abuela believe it possible that our dog got ahold of her but she got away before she could get any major bleeding damage but still got hurt somewhere. We dont know for sure if she was attacked by our dog or not because she was far away from her and didnt have any missing feathers or noticeable Injuries but now its day 5 she's back in the coop acting how she normally does, eating and drinking water roaming the coop but she still walks and stands hunched over with her head hanging low.
Anyone know what this could be or if it's treatable?

It could be wry neck which is treatable. It can be caused by stress, injury, or vitamin deficiency.

If it is wry neck, supplement Vitamin E and selenium.

Sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, spinach, etc. can be a source of Vitamin E.

You can find supplements for these things online as well.

alright, thank you so much for the info! I'll have to buy some when I go to the feed store today.

She is doing much better now after the multivitamin we started giving her and she is almost back to walking normally. Thank you so much!
