Hungry teenager chicks....

I think I must have forgotten to feed my teenager chicks yesterday. I THOUGHT I fed them, but my daughter came to visit with big news and I think I must have forgotten.

Now, before someone turns me into the humane society or something, let me hasten to assure you that I give them a lot extra every day, so they must have had food most of yesterday.

Nonetheless, they are at a very hungry time of their little lives, and I walked into their nursery room, all unsuspecting, and WHAM!

My goodness. It was like a scene from The Birds or something. They just mobbed me. I am a little fragile and I almost fell down.

So I gave them lots and lots of food and I think I detected the occasional dirty look but now they are happy.

Boy do I feel like a rotten chicken Mom.

Has anyone else ever forgotten to feed their chickies?

I do, I do have chicks, i even have the ugly chick. It's just that you just CAN'T KNOW how intimidated I am by techy stuff!

Someone has sent me some instructions on how to download photos, but I haven't even gotten to the part about how I get them out of the camera and into the computer.

I know it is just a matter of getting out the camera and doing it step by step but I really have a hard time making myself do it.

Surely to goodness I am not the only person who is not good at doing this stuff?

And I take lousy pictures, too, I'll bet when i do figure it out it won't turn out well.

I usually AM good, tho, at taking care of my animals, I feed them and stuff!

It's okay. I forgot to grab the bag of chick food on the way to the lake house and my chicks went all night with only half a feeder full of food. I rushed out the next morning to buy some chicken feed and all was good afterwards. I gave them some scrambled eggs just to make it up to them.

But boy did I feel like a bad chick momma.


BTW- I still wanna see that ugly chick.

Have your daughter come over and take the picture of the "Ugly Chick" and then give her the instructions and ask her to PLEASE upload it for these fine members of the group that have been patiently waiting for over 30 pages and 293 posts. Any you would now have to post it to a New Topic because they just closed the old topic.​

You'd best be getting them a picture before the mob breaks out the pitch forks and torches.
