I know it looks crazy but I would bet how assanine it looks it could help. Looking at it through architectural glasses it sure could. But that's just me. Maybe not total destructive winds but where it was on the brink of blowing a chunk of roof up. Especially if he's using like mobile home tiedowns that are a couple feet long and cork screw.
