Yes but they did not get the 20' storm surge that was predicted that they would have gotten, if the storm had hit the Bay straight on as originally predicted. Imagine that PLUS all the rain!

So true. And Tampa is so densely populated and such low elevation that it would have been like another Katrina.

Tampa General is an essential Trauma center... look at this Aqua Fence thing they spent millions on (this is from Helene, I'd like to see video of it from tonight).
