Hurricane season 2024

There is a creek behind my house. It is not even a very big one, really a stream. There is a 10 ft. diameter pipe a couple hundred yards away that takes it under a highway. Yep, 10 ft. diameter. That is just to handle a small creeks waters during heavy rains. 36 inch diameter pipe is not much. It wouldn't even put the thought of a dent in what is coming to Florida. It is laughable really. But, it doesn't hurt to think outside the box for fun. Sometimes it even pays off. This is not one of those times.

The Keystone pipeline was mothballed, but everything is still underground.

The water levels in the Great Lakes keeps getting lower and lower each year due to population density.

The answer is right in front of our governments nose.

Anything left over could be used for irrigation... and stored.

But I guess my 30+ years in construction doesn't amount to much. 🙄

Some understanding of the breadth of a hurricane might help.

Everyone laughed at Noah... didn't they... then look what happened...
I'm just talking about handling the storm surge... and pumping it North

Water moves faster and easier than oil.

That eye was 3.9 miles across about 4 hours ago. and sustaining winds 180mph gusting over 225. That's a 4 mile wide sustained EF4-EF5 tornado RIPPING across the gulf with a debris field in the hundreds of miles wide, and pushing 40 foot seas in front of it..

It's doing an EWRC, so hopefully it will decrease a bit and some dry air in front of it may help lessen the winds. Milton's one for the record books, for sure.
