Hurricane

Hurricane Hanna is approaching our city (south Texas). My flock is out and about like nothing. I really thought they were going to sense danger and get themselves to their coop. However they’re acting like nothing is happening ranging around my yard (about half acre). There are trees and shrubs to use as shelter here and there, but my question is should I catch them and take them to their coop? There about 9 hens and is already raining. Please any thoughts. Thanks

I would put them into their coop. Getting stuck outside in a hurricane wouldn’t end well for them. That sounds terrifying though, I’m glad I really only get the remains of hurricanes up here.

Catch them ONLY if you can do so without endangering yourself.

Put some mixed corn in the coop, if they get in lock them in

Thank you all for your advice, my kids caught them and they’re safe in their coop. The wind is bad but thank God not as bad as we thought, apparently this is the most we will get. We have enough with the Covid
