Use a good sharp axe, a block of wood and chop her head off. It is quick and most likely she won't know what happened.

I wouldn't put her in the freezer, personally. I would use the axe, they don't even know what happens, or if you have someone that can hold her and just quickly break her neck. That is how my father does mine, when bad luck hits. So sorry, I just went through this Friday, I know it's hard.

I am so sorry as well. I love mine like children. I could never be a vet, because I couldn't put an animal down even knowing it is suffering and it is better for them. You both are in my prayers

I feel terribly sorry for you, if I had to do this personally I would strangle her. This is what I have done before working on the farm with phesants, but this week I had to put one of my girls to sleep at the vets, I didn't have the heart to strangle her myself. Its a tough call and my thoughts are with you.

Freezing to death is painful and prolonged-you don't just "go to sleep". The hatchet method is by far the more humane.
