Folks, Anne and I have seen Aida performed on stage at the Met in New York, and believe me, seeing it at the local theaters is much better. It's performed live and sent to the theaters with HD. You even get to go back stage with the stars and other stage information during intermissions.
Aida is one big spectacle; you should consider seeing it while you have a chance.
