I have this sweet Isabel orpington who's our pet of the flock. This week she hasn't been roosting and on closer inspection her left leg seems to be the issue. No fractures felt. Nothing out of the ordinary. She will put some weight on it and it seems to be a tad better over the last few days. There are no signs of mites or anything else. We have a big rooster that might have injured her is the only thing I can think of. We put her in the coop at night and she waddles out herself in the morning. She doesn't try to roost right now with her injury although at first she did. Is there anything else I can do? Or what else might be wrong?

If there is any swelling, green bruising or other signs, try to get a picture of it. Forcing her to rest the leg for a few days to a week might help, and evaluate it weekly. A large wire dog crate with food and water, and nonslip bedding would be helpful, and try to keep her with the other chickens for company.

There's no green or anything. I had a video that showed what was happening but it wouldn't load on here. She can bear weight but it looks like she's afraid to. Sometimes she'll clumsily almost trip over it. I don't feel anything out of place. I was just afraid to seperate her because she is gentle and was picked on before to the point where I had to buy another hen just to reintroduce them together last time. Thanks for your response
