Hi everyone,
For a while now my rooster has seemed to be favoring one foot. He doesn't seem to limp but often holds his left foot up when he's standing. Today it seems worse as when I was feeding him some treats he held it right out in front of him. It was very cute but I'm concerned.
He's a very heavy bird and other than his foot/leg issue he seems healthy. There isn't any noticeable injury but his toes do turn a little to the side. I think I need to cut is toemails. Would that be strange?
Could it be a weight issue?
Any thoughts or suggestions would be much appreciated. I don't think it's life threatening or anything but I don't want it to develop into anything bad/worse. I love this bird..
