DH add a window to both sides of the coop when we built ours. Ours doesn't have plexiglass though...only wire covering it. In the summer, when it is HOT, it gives nice air circulation in there or the hens and when the weather isn't so nice for the chickens, they can hang out inside with lots of natural light. I like the windows!
Also, think of it this way...he did something in his own spare time (without being asked) that he thought would help you. I think that is a very sweet and loving gesture.
We have two windows, one facing east and the other one facing south. They have hardware cloth over them and this past winter we cut some plexiglass to fit in them to help keep out the cold and wind. We also have a shuuter on them to close it up at night.
So what job was he supposed to be doing that he really, really, really doesn't want to do causing him to tackle this one instead? (They think we're not on to them.)
I was looking at your feeder does it do a good job with feeding the chickens? I build one like it but wasn't sure if the food would come out right.
Thanks.
