I'm sorry- but from what I thought: sex-links that are RIR crossed with a white bird tend to be red if they are female, white if they are roosters. At least that is the case with red stars.

Yes, that bird looks pretty roo-ish to me, too. Big ole legs on it.

He looks like the rooster I have that the dad was white leghorn and the mom was a barred rock.

I heard my husband wrong. She is not RIR mix, she is red star mixed with ??. Some of the pullets lay brown and some lay white. They are sold to the corp. egg farm nearby. Sorry for the mixup.
