Can hybrid chickens be kept in confinement as i have a 15x8 run
with 6x8 shed but no free range (8 birds)

I have no idea what you mean by “hybrid” chickens. Do you mean hybrid commercial meat birds, hybrid commercial laying hens, or a cross of two breeds? If so, which breeds?

In general, chicken breed is a manmade thing. The commercial chickens are specialized, but in general there is no significant difference in “breeds” and barnyard mixes. You cannot tell the difference by DNA testing. The chickens don’t recognize a difference in pure breed and mixed breed.

I hesitate to say you’ll be fine since I’m not sure what you are talking about but it could certainly work. A little more information would help.

I mean the reddy Brown birds
that lay a lot like the nova brown or simlar

That sounds like the hybrid commercial layers. Eight should be fine in that space. They are bred to take confinement well.
