Hydrohen additive for chicks

Does anyone have a suggested time frame on when to stop adding this to baby chicks water? I have chicks at 5wks and 1wk and 2wks old...

Offering it once a week is enough.
What do the directions on that bag say?

I have never used anything in my chickens water. That is an additive that is supposed to be beneficial to chicken, rather than NECESSARY.
I know that some peeps do add electrolytes to their chickens water during hot weather. I never needed to since live in a moderate temperature zone.

Honestly, when we 1st started out babies from our local Tractor Supply, the sales girls said we needed it the chicks. Instructions are not scaled by length of time or age.. Just says as to water (any age)
But it does say to offer fresh water at least every 12 hours... Not just water with additives in it.
Maybe it was just a sales pitch.
My adults don't get it, unless we are in a heat wave

I think fresh plain water is best.
I would save this product to use during extremely hot summer days.
And then only use it once or twice a week.

I like that idea of fresh water too.. Less work, because the additive does spoil. Just wanted a second opinion. That's no you

If the chicks are doing well (especially the bigger ones) I'd switch to just plain water at this point. Electrolyte/probiotics/vitamins can be good right at the start, especially with shipped chicks, to get them through the first few stressful days, but past that, assuming all is going well they shouldn't really need it.

We used that exact formula before. That's extremely useful. I really think that's the exact reason why my chickens are very healthy.. good luck on yours.
