Hydrometer help pic included

I have 3 in the bator all diffrent. These are all i have ever used and have great hatches. But this time they all have diffrent readings. I use a diffrent thermometer for temp. Which one should i use. The one on the right has the closest temp to my thermometer. I might run to the hardware store and see what they have. I don't have eggs in there yet.

I'd use the one closest to your thermometer reading...and get the rest out of there!!.....that many is too confusing....

It was much less stressful when I used the old glavanized bator. Set it, open it a couple times a day to turn eggs and fill the water pan. No window, so I couldn't worry about the ones that pipped and didn't seem to be progressing. Just leave it closed from day 18 to about day 22, take out the live chicks and throw the rest of the eggs away.

Calving time is easier when I'm busy at work too and especially if my DW is not home either to call me every time a cow stands up or lays down. I have a neighbor who will check for me if the weather is bad or if I have a heifer due so I don't really have to worry much about losing a calf if I'm not there. ( I do love watching those babies taking that first breath and progressing to take that first drink of milk though!)

There is a way to calibrate a Hydrometer it involves putting a cap full of salt water in a baggie with the hydrometer. Don't know if that model can be calibrated though. Is there an adjustment screw on it. Maybe it tells in the directions, but I usually throw them away before the box. I think there may have been a post about it on here, not sure though.
I'll see if I can find the exact directions for calibrating.
